Advanced IP Addressing

On 03/17/2012, 03/24/2012 and 03/31/2012 we hosted an Advanced  IP Addressing Subnetting and VSLM Workshop. We discussed how the OSI model relates to the TCP/IP, what IP address format looks like, the three usable classes of IP addresses, public vs private addresses and more.

We configured the Cisco Routers and Switches and troubleshoot VLSM using the examples and exercises from CCNA exploration Labs and Study Guide.

The hands-on activities we used were:

  • NETW-204 Routing Protocols Lab Manual:
  1. Lab 3-1 Subnetting Scenario 1  pp. 148 to 152 Lab 6-3
  2. Troubleshooting a VLSM Addressing Design, pp. 276 to 281.
